I am a writer, editor and broadcaster.

I received a grant from the Emergent Ventures fund, which is run by the economist Tyler Cowen, for A Dangerous Idea, my forthcoming book on the philosophy of common sense.

My documentary on the British tradition of liberty is available to stream on Amazon Prime and YouTube.

I have a book out on the culture war: The Long March: How the left won the culture war and what to do about it.

I am a host of CounterCulture on the New Culture Forum’s YouTube channel, where I am also a regular guest. I am developing a new show for the channel, which I will co-host, due to launch in spring 2021.

I also host Marc’s Almanac, a weekly podcast offering five minutes of civilised calm, which was featured through the 2020 lockdown on BBC Radio Suffolk. Sign up to the Almanac newsletter for updates and show notes when episodes go live at: https://marcsalmanac.substack.com

I was the deputy editor for Smith, a monthly magazine dedicated to exploring our capitalist world. I was also Head of Personal Finance for the Telegraph 2018-19 and business features editor, managing editor and executive editor for City A.M. from 2010-2015. I’ve also worked as content director of Progressive Media International’s magazine stable, with titles including Press Gazette, the New Statesman, World of Fine Wine and Spear’s Wealth Management, and as managing editor for Curation Corp.

I co-wrote a book on liberal education called The School of Freedom.
